Peet Guercio is a standup comedian from Denver. He debuted his act on Halloween 2006 in a dive bar in Denver, and less than a year later, against hundreds of others, he was named one of the top ten comedians in the state of Colorado. After being featured in the Rocky Mountain News and winning the Wit's End Survival of the Wittiest, Peet moved to LA and has become a regular at the Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Ice House Main Stage, Irvine Improv, and many other of the city's biggest venues. In early 2009 he was drafted onto the elite "ComedyJuice" show at the Hollywood Improv, and has since performed with Dane Cook, Dave Attell, Doug Benson, Dov Davidoff, Owen Benjamin, Iliza Shlesinger, Ralphie May, and many more prominent national headliners. Derek Taylor Kent recently received a three book deal with HarperCollins for a series of comedic children’s novels entitled SCARY SCHOOL, scheduled for release in 2011, 2012, and 2013. His other children’s book series, RUDY AND THE BEAST was also recently optioned by renowned producer Colin Callendar and is currently being shopped to studios. When not writing children’s books,Derek’s focus is on screenwriting. He wrote the short film Rock Obama: The Barack Obama Musical, which has become a hit online and at film festivals, was featured in a documentary about the Barack Obama campaign, and was single-handedly credited for winning the election for Mr. Obama. This year, Derek co-wrote/produced the hit comedic music video “Why Weed is Better than Sex” (starring Josh Funk, cast member and director of MTV’s WILD N’ OUT), and he's now in pre-production on a web series entitled “Minutes to Menopause”, for which he wrote an entire season of webisodes for the female 20s-40s demographic in the vein of Sex and the City, and successfully sold it in a six-figure deal with MWG Entertainment in conjunction with Lifetime Broadband. A graduate of the writing program at Second City in Los Angeles, Derek has trained under some of comedy’s biggest names, including Ira Miller (Mel Brooks’ writing partner), Ron West (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Matthew Craig (The Office). Derek is a Cum Laude graduate of the UCLA School of Theatre, being one of just 50 students accepted from over a 1,000 applicants in the prestigious program. At UCLA, Derekstudied writing, acting, and directing and made history being the first undergraduate given permission to audit the Masters playwriting program. After college, Derek went on to work as an assistant at management/production company Visionary Entertainment, where he later became the Director of Development in charge of all script development and acquisitions. Derek’s old boss, Tom Parziale, now reps him at Visionary Entertainment, and he is also repped by the Joe Spieler Literary Agency out of New York.
Geoffrey Plitt's films have been featured in the St Lous Filmmakers Showcase (“Best Editing” - SUGAR), Second City’s One More Beer Festival (Chicago), Chicago International Film Festival, Feel Good Festival (Los Angeles), California Next Gen Film Fest (Sacramento), Oregon's BendFilm Festival ("Best Short" - SUGAR), Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival (Alabama), the Austin Film Festival, the Show Off Your Shorts Festival (LA), the LA Comedy Shorts Festival, the LA Comedy Festival, and the Iron Mule Festival (NY). After graduating from Viewpoint School in Calabasas, Geoff attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and founded/directed the Off The Top improv troupe there. While in Chicago from 2003-2007, he studied and directed ImprovOlympic, The Annoyance, Second City, Light Opera Works, Bailiwick, and White Horse. Since returning to Los Angeles, Geoff has been peforming standup comedy at Westside Eclectic, MBar, and the Comedy Store.
